Chelsea’s Bold £26m Move to Secure Defender Before Transfer Deadline: Disasi Offered to Milan

Chelsea is making a move to enhance their roster by targeting Nantes defender Tylel Tati, just ahead of the transfer deadline. Reports suggest that the Premier League giants have put forth a late offer for the 18-year-old standout.

Since Todd Boehly and his consortium took over in May 2022, Chelsea has invested heavily in young talent, exceeding £1 billion in spending. Their strategy includes developing prospects for both immediate and long-term success as they aim to restore the club’s competitive edge.

Despite this aggression in the transfer market, Chelsea’s performance has been underwhelming. The team finished sixth and fourth in the previous two Premier League seasons. Currently, they sit in fourth place but risk falling to fifth if Manchester United secures a victory against Fulham. This inconsistency led to the dismissal of Enzo Maresca, with Liam Rosenior now at the helm.

Reports from French outlet L’Equipe suggest that Chelsea has made an unofficial offer for Tati, indicating their intent to invest roughly €30 million (£26 million). The club has ramped up efforts in recent days to secure this promising young player.

However, Chelsea’s plans include a potential loan back to Nantes for the remainder of the season, although logistical challenges and Nantes’ initial rejection of the offer make this scenario doubtful.

Fabrizio Romano has discussed three potential moves for Chelsea in one of his latest updates. There is speculation around Axel Disasi, who is attracting interest from both West Ham and AC Milan. Disasi seems inclined toward a move to Milan, but if that doesn’t materialize, West Ham remains a viable option.

Romano elaborated, stating, “For Axel Disasi, there are two possibilities on the table. One is a loan move to West Ham, who are waiting to see how the situation develops. The other option is AC Milan. Disasi is aware of Milan’s interest and would prioritise that move if Milan decide to proceed. If they do not, West Ham remains an option.”

In addition, Chelsea is considering recalling Mamadou Sarr from his loan, as internal discussions continue regarding the defender’s future with the club. Romano also brought attention to the situation surrounding Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquet, stating, “This is a story that should not be underestimated. Chelsea remain very active; Liverpool are also involved, and Bayern Munich appears less likely due to the player’s preference for a Premier League move.”

All signs point to an urgent period for Chelsea in their transfer dealings. With the deadlines rapidly approaching, they aim to finalize deals that not only bring in fresh talent but also align with their longer-term vision for success.

As the transfer deadline looms, Chelsea’s moves will be closely watched, not just by fans but by competitors keen to see how this strategy unfolds on the pitch. The coming days promise to be crucial as several potential deals hang in the balance.
